Amerscot" - an acronym for an American who married a Scot - is a direct reference to Doreen and Jerry Gibson, who opened the inn in January 1980. Amerscot House guests enjoy warm hospitality of their host, Doreen Gibson; and the antiques, handmade quilts and fresh flowers reflect Amerscot's personal touch.
Amerscot House guests are treated to tea and scones by the family room fireplace and may enjoy a full breakfast of fresh fruit, juice, muffins and breakfast entree. They may sit at a common table in the dining room, in the family room or at small tables in the greenhouse. The family and dining rooms both contain fireplaces with beehive baking ovens. The fireplaces are equipped with hanging irons and pots.
In addition to accomodating overnight guests, Amerscot is equipped to host business meetings. Services available for the business traveler include conference facilities, copy and FAX machines.
You'll find the 250 year old farmhouse on West Acton Road in Stow, Massachusetts - a rural New England town situated about 25 miles west of Boston. Amerscot is a non-smoking Inn.
