A Loon's Nest Bed and Breakfast is poised on a bluff overlooking Westchester Lagoon, a local park. One can appreciate views of the skyline of downtown Anchorage, and of the Alaska range with Mt. McKinley. The house was built using one of Frank Lloyd Wright's designs, and remodeled in 1998. Two warm and cozy rooms are available with new shaker type furniture. Each room is wheelchair accessable for convenience. King or extra-long twin beds are featured comforts. The Bird Room includes a private entrance and attached bath. The Alaska Room has a designated private bath. Both rooms have whirlpool tubs and showers.
A Loon's Nest Bed and Breakfast is located seven minutes away from the airport, and five minutes from downtown Anchorage and the Alaska Railroad. We are also located close to bus transportation and the Tony Knowls Coastal Trail begins one block away.
Your hostess, Mary Anne, is a life-long resident and a retired secondary school teacher. John has a background in data processing, commercial fishing, mining and prospecting.
