Welcome to the Catoctin Inn, circa 1780, a delightful family-owned and operated Country Inn located on four acres with sweeping views of the historic village of Buckeystown and the Catoctin Mountain range. The Inn is decorated and furnished with antiques. Each guest room in the Main Inn is uniquely decorated in honor of someone special to us. The guest rooms all have queen size beds, and are complete with the modern comforts--such as color televisions with cable and VCRs, telephones, electric blankets and air conditioning. Fireplaces add to the warmth of a few of the guest rooms during the winter months. Each guest room has a private bathroom, one features a whirlpool bathtub. As a guest of the Inn you are invited to enjoy a full country breakfast each morning, served in the dining room or sun porch. The breakfast includes homemade granola, muffins and breads, as well as fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea, menu choices available at additional cost. Lose yourself in the spacious library graced with marble fireplaces and filled with books and magazines to suit everyone's likings. The Catoctin Inn caters to the Business Executive. Whether you are in town for one day or a month, we can accommodate your every need, whether it be an early breakfast, dry cleaning, or transportation from the airport. In addition to telephone and televisions, we are pleased to make available a fax machine, an IBM-compatible computer with an HP-4P laser jet printer, and VCRs. The Inn is also available for special functions from board meetings or luncheons, to weddings and receptions. The library, parlor, dining room, and sun porch offer great flexibility for a variety of functions. The wrap around veranda is the perfect setting for summer gatherings. Steps lead down to the south lawn with its glorious dogwood and magnolia trees. There is ample room for tables and tents, or you may choose to take advantage of the gazebo. The possibilities are endless! Guests are delighted with the variety of attractions of the surrounding area -- historic Frederick with shops and restaurants galore, or the nearby historic villages of Harper's Ferry, Antietam, and New Market. The C&O Canal, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the Appalachian Trail are all within easy traveling distance for those interested in hiking, bicycling, skiing or just a long nature walk. Buckeystown is located on the Monocacy River, where you might enjoy the local team, the Frederick Keys. Your hosts are happy to assist you with travel plans or scheduling.
