Discover the beautiful wilderness of New Brunswick, where forests stretch undisturbed from the Restigouche River to the Fundy Coast. At Tay Ridge Farm we have trails for hiking and horse riding -- or simply strolling -- across 600 acres of beautiful countryside.
In winter, explore Tay Ridge Farm's quiet acres on cross country skis or snowshoes, or learn skijoring, a sport from Scandinavia. Here you will have trained Huskies to pull your skis!
Tay Ridge Farm, 20 minutes north of Fredericton (see Map), is the ideal location for sports recreation or a tranquil retreat. As well as trail riding with quality horses we offer weekend riding camps for adults and children with riding instruction (in a ring) and lessons in horse management. We also offer group courses in primary health care and first aid for horses, conducted by a veterinarian. We are pleased to accommodate visiting horses.
Among the activities we offer at the farm are hay rides and canoeing outings. There are opportunities for bird watching and for photographing the wildlife and rare plant species you will encounter along the forest trails. There might also be a chance to encounter a horse working in the woods. If you prefer to relax you can swim and sunbathe at secluded beauty spots along the Tay River, which runs through the farm. For groups we arrange interpretive walks, horse-logging demonstrations and orienteering courses. We run chartered Whale Watching and sightseeing tours in a six-berth motor tourer and we hold photography and art courses by arrangement.
