La Paz Inn in Mexico, Missouri was completed in 1923, of Italianate design. It is said to be a copy of the previous American Embassy in La Paz, Bolivia. Some of the beautiful architectural details include magnificent corinthian columns in the entrance parlour. The fireplace mantels are adorned with intricate molded patterns which include a scene of mythology. Drop plaster details can be found in the ceilings of the foyer and dining room. Beautifully preserved leaded glass is found throughout.
The bed and breakfast offers three guest rooms. The New Orleans Suite has a queen-sized bed, private bath, separate living room with cable television and DVD player, and a private balcony.
