Escape from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the quiet of the country!
A long, paved driveway, just off the scenic North Cape Coastal Drive, brings you to the door of Hilltop Acres, and your welcoming hosts, proud Islanders Janice and Wayne Trowsdale. They will help you settle into your guestroom, and when you are ready, introduce you to an area of Prince Edward Island that is filled with history and culture.
Hilltop Acres is located on a spacious property referred to in the Selected Journals of L. M. Montgomery as the home of Edward and Polly England. Their daughter Edith developed a very close friendship with Lucy Maud, who often visited here on the property, in a house previously built on the same foundation. Guests in the "new" house built in 1932 can enjoy a delightful Queen bed guestroom with en suite bath. The two-bedroom suite with double beds is ideal for a party of 3 or 4. The private bathroom for this suite has a whirlpool tub with separate shower.
Common areas include a large living room where you are invited to relax and plan your next activity, a dining room leading out onto the secluded deck and gazebo, a second-storey balcony overlooking scenic Goodwood River and Malpeque Bay, and spacious lawns with garden swings. Relax with a complimentary cold drink or a cup of tea or coffee before retiring for the night.
