The house itself is a Colonial Revival home dating back to 1899 graced by a crowning widow's walk. Guests are welcomed by the south facing elliptical entrance portico with its graceful Ionic columns and leaded glass double front doors. Once inside, guests will appreciate the extensive pilasters and moldings which give the house such solid character. The main foyer opens to a beautiful winding staircase with an elegantly carved banister that leads to the second floor bedrooms. (A guest suite is available on the ground floor). Each guestroom has been recently redecorated and includes a private bath. The furnishings are either original period pieces or tasteful reproductions consistent with the character of the house. The bedrooms, which offer a choice of twin or queen bed, have warm natural light which lend comfort to the room.
