Queen of Hearts Resort
435 Avenida Olancha
Palm Springs, California

Palm Springs' first very lesbian friendly hotel was established in 1969 by Eadie Adams and her partner, Pat McGrath and for 30 years was known as The Desert Knight. In the book, Palm Springs Babylon, the Desert Knight is mentioned as being visited by many including, Gloria Swanson. This beautiful resort has now been entirely renovated. Located two blocks from East Palm Canyon in the quiet Deepwell neighborhood, the QUEEN OF HEARTS RESORT has nine rooms, designer furnished of course, central air-conditioning in each room around a sparkling, heated swimming pool. The secluded patio, which includes a misting system to keep you cool, is surrounded by luscious fruit trees and boasts one of the most striking views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Away from the noise of the main drag, you are pampered in our luxuriously appointed queen bedrooms, as you relax listening to music of your choice from the stereo system in your room. Or perhaps you will watch your favorite show or movie on cable T.V. or VCR as you prepare a romantic dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Don't care to cook? We're walking distance to some of the finest dinner houses in Palm Springs with gay nightlife only minutes away. Pack lightly as we provide hair dryers, terry cloth robes, and even irons in each room; with a guest laundry for your convenience. A complementary continental breakfast completes your getaway to Paradise.
